With a background in the New York fashion industry that included stints with Vera Wang and Priscilla of Boston, owner Carine brings a wealth of knowledge, style savvy and enthusiasm to her Georgetown bridal boutique. She has connections with some of the industry’s top designers, and Carine keeps up with the latest bridal trends and hand-selects each wedding dress personally.
The salon itself is beautiful and welcoming, and brides are lavished with attention from their very first appointment. Consultants offer guidance in selecting the most flattering gown for a bride’s body type and personality, and also take into consideration the wedding setting. Another plus: The staff is adept at creating an atmosphere of calm, essential for a positive dress shopping experience.
At any one time, as many as 100 designer bridal gowns are on hand, as well as a bevy of veils, headpieces and tantalizing fashion accessories—just the thing to lend a dress that certain je ne sais quoi. From elegant haute couture to moderately priced wedding dresses, the lush finery has something to fulfill every bride’s wedding fantasy.

“I had a wonderful experience at Carine’s. Each time I visited Carine’s, I was greeted by name and immediately welcomed into the shop. Carine and all of her assistants are extremely nice and provided a lot of guidance throughout the whole process. They gave me great suggestions about which dresses fit the style I wanted and worked best with my body shape. They really focused on finding the dress I wanted. The personal attention they provided really made the dress buying experience much easier and more relaxed.”

“My dress was a bit complex; as is my figure. I have an hourglass shape, with a large bust and a small frame. When I came in for my second fitting, the back of the bodice was not as flattering as it could have been and I was spilling over the top of my corset bra. Carine and her seamstress not only reconfigured the bra itself, but the bodice of the dress. To do that they had to stretch the fabric over two inches! This was a week prior to my wedding! Not only did they do it, they never made me feel as though the dress wasn’t going to be perfect. When I put the dress on a week later, it honestly fulfilled every dream I had for a wedding gown. It looked, fit and felt perfectly perfect! I truly do not believe any other shop in the nation would have been able to modify that dress so close to my wedding date, or work with the figure problems that arose.”

Carine’s also boasts a talented seamstress, known for expert alterations and ability to do complex modifications, even under time constraints.
