Danielle Richards is an award-winning photojournalist with an expertise for visual storytelling. However ‘official’ this may sound, Danielle’s philosophy is simple: “I don’t do much directing or posing, but prefer to let moments unfold naturally in true documentary style. I capture what you feel, and my clients describe my images as fun, fresh, and forever. What better gift to pass on to future generations?”
Danielle is a total pro, yet also very cool and down to earth with a great sense of humor. Her easygoing demeanor translates into great relationships with her couples, an enjoyable planning process, and gorgeous, natural images that exude all the love and joy of your special day.
Prices and/or Package Info
All Photography Collections include a custom album and digital files, at an average investment of $4000. Rates begin at $1900 for small ceremonies and limited hours.
Complete collections are available including hand-crafted albums and engagement sessions. Photo Booth services, including unlimited on-site printing and social media integration, are also available.

I’m fun to work with, reliable, and love creating beautiful memories for my clients. My wealth of experience gives me a unique perspective and ability to work well in any situation. Good photography, like good business, is about building relationships and many of my wedding clients become family portrait clients as their families grow.What are the common misconceptions about your services?
That it’s easy to be a photographer. It’s certainly fun, but it isn’t easy.What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
I’ve always been drawn to photography as a way to communicate and tell stories. I worked as a newspaper photojournalist for many years before bringing my skills to wedding photography.What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
I find inspiration in all forms of art, particularly documentary photography, impressionist painting, and contemporary sculpture. Art is everywhere if you look and open your mind to seeing it.Tell us about a favorite, unusual or very interesting moment at a wedding:
Every wedding is unique, and my favorite moments are first looks and the range of emotions throughout the day.What makes a wedding memorable for you?
Being able to capture all the joy and emotion - the laughter and the tears - means a lot to me. Preserving memories for future generations is an honor.What have weddings taught you?
Same as life - be patient and open to seeing things in new ways.What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Try to relax and enjoy the process. This is a wonderful time, so don’t get too caught up in trying to make it “perfect.” Also, meet with your photographer and ask to see several complete weddings so you can see a consistency in their style and quality of albums.If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
