What have weddings taught you?
Weddings cultured me. Experiencing the diversity in culture through witnessing communities coming together for two individuals has been priceless. It has also shown me how transformative love can be.What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
I started with photojournalism for the local newspaper at my University, and that spawned my passion of storytelling through photography. What drew me to weddings was getting to meet individuals in an intimate way and then collaborating to curate images that would in turn reflect who they are during this sliver of time.What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
Photographing life via film cameras really allows me to continually refine my process not only in documenting, but in curating. Reading books about Magnum Photographers from their works, to their process, also freshens my perspective.
