Yet with her own eye for design and creative out-of-the-box thinking, she always adds her own unique stylistic twist. Her arrangements are known for being perfectly fresh, lovely, and imaginative.
Floralisa takes care of all aspects of your floral needs and takes pride in alleviating the stress around planning your wedding flowers. Complimentary consultations are by appointment only.

What 3 words best describe your work?
Creative, fresh, fulfilling.Tell us about your company name.
Growing up in a household that also spoke Spanish, I thought I would give the name a little ethnic flair. I wanted to give the meaning of “pretty flowers”. Flora obviously means flower and linda means pretty, but I didn’t want people to think my name was Linda so Floralisa was born out of that. People always compliment the name so it was a good choice!Why should someone hire you?
Because I treat every client like they are my friend. I would want the best for my friends, and for things to be fair and beautiful. Even the most modest budgets deserve gorgeous flowers on their special day.What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
I actually became a floral designer in high school. I loved my first job so much that I stayed there for almost 10 years before changing to specialized design in weddings/events, and then eventually starting Floralisa.What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
Nature inspires me…just look around. All those beautiful colors in that sunset—wouldn’t that make a gorgeous bouquet? And the blues and grays of a crisp winter day would look stunning in that silver compote. Inspiration is all around us…and best of all, it’s free!What makes a wedding memorable for you?
Hands down it’s the personal touches of the couple. Adding Grandma’s rosary to the bouquet or self-proclaimed coffee addicts having their place cards arranged in a tray of coffee beans. Some couples get really creative and it sticks in my mind.What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
To relax and not get uptight about the planning process. It should be fun. Be confident in your vendors and let them use their expertise to your benefit.What are 3 words that describe your personality?

Flowers are in my blood, so I don’t think I would be fulfilled in life if I didn’t work in this medium. A distant 2nd would be a baker, but I’d probably decorate my desserts with fresh flowers!Tell us about your pets, if you have any.
