Jonathan Moore is a Southern California-based wedding photographer dedicated to serving his awesome clients. He's the friendly, pragmatic, and calming presence in the room—staying on top of the schedule, offering tips and advice whenever possible, and working with you (or your planner) to make sure everything gets covered. Jonathan attests, "I'm your friend with the fancy cameras who thinks outside the box and works with you to make stunning imagery that is worthy to be hung on your walls."
Jonathan's approach is entirely documentary. He'll be there to capture moments as the day unfolds, making sure nothing is forced or contrived. The result? "Like any great photo, when you look at one of your images, you’ll be brought back to that moment and you’ll remember exactly what you were feeling."
Prices and/or Package Info
Elopement coverage: $1,800 - includes one photographer and up to four hours of coverage.
Wedding coverage: $4,000 - includes two photographers and up to eight hours of coverage.
Add-on packages with albums, additional hours, and services are available as well.

What 3 words best describe your work?
Creative, thoughtful, meaningful.
Why should someone hire you?
I think you should hire me because I truly think I can bring out the best in you and your partner. By that, I can take a creative approach to making beautiful images that capture you both in your truest form.
I promise never to tell you when to laugh, where to look or how to react. That is not the memory you want when you look at your images. During our time together, focus less on me and the camera and draw your attention on all the things you love about your partner.
Think about the things that bring you both closer. What amazing memories do you both have? What does your partner do to make you laugh? What exciting adventures await on the horizon?
Always know that I will step in if something doesn't look right.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
My work as a photographer began back in 2008 as a sports photography intern at Getty Images. As a freelancer I covered baseball, football, basketball, rowing, tennis, and motorsport.
My experience at Getty sharpened my eye for composition, light, and timing. The technical challenges were amazing, but as time passed, the nature of the work became impersonal and systematic. Something had to change.
Then it hit me. How can I be truly passionate about my work when I don’t have any personal connection whatsoever with the people that I'm covering? As a sports photographer, I was always at arm's length from my subjects – leaving me without the ability to truly relate to what they were feeling.
At that moment I knew I wanted to work one-on-one with my subjects. There is something so gratifying about capturing two people madly in love, handing them the images and then hearing how their experience with me brought them even closer in their relationship. This is the joy that wedding photography brings me and it is why I have chosen to dedicate my life to serving you, my amazing couples.
What have weddings taught you?
I have learned some of the coolest things in life from my experiences with other people, photographing other people, and seeing the intimacy they have between each other and their family and friends. This is deeply fulfilling work. Anyone who says it unimportant doesn’t understand its power. I think the driving factor that allows me to continue in this business is that I genuinely care about my clients and I want them to have an amazing experience on their wedding day!
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
To fly. Wait, I have a drone, so I can sort of already do that (if your venue allows it)!
