Joshua Brown is a true photojournalist. He studied photojournalism at one of the best programs in the country, and started out shooting very small, simple weddings that defined his documentary style early on. He says, “What it did was make me hyper focused on documenting people and moments rather than things.” He’s now traveled worldwide shooting hundreds of weddings, and is experienced enough to anticipate the important moments before they happen.
One of his brides sums up her experience with Joshua perfectly: "He has the creative eye to capture moments, emotions, and experiences. He doesn’t like posed or forced moments. His ability to be in the shadows allows for the most authentic moments and true expressions. I have seen many photographers interrupt and dictate how the bride and groom should walk and what to do, which doesn’t feel natural. I was able to be myself on my wedding day and do whatever I wanted—and feel like the day was captured wonderfully. Josh did pull us aside several times to get some formal pictures, but never told us to ‘redo the walk in’ because he missed it or something…He never misses a thing."
Prices and/or Package Info
In general, high season weekend weddings start around $5,000 for Joshua's minimum packages. Elopements start at $1,000. All packages include the digital negatives and/or raw video footage.
