It is “pure and authentic, not overly fussed with, sculpted and contrived.” They make everything from scratch with ingredients fresh from the farmer’s market. They are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free experts, and are well experienced with different cultural menus. From stations, to buffets to full plated service, Pure Joy Catering’s fantastic fare will “set the tone, bring people together and fuel their bodies for dancing into the wee hours.”
Their services begin with a meeting at their event planning facility where they’ll understand exactly what you want. They treat your budget and priorities as their own, and with great care will handle every aspect of your wedding—from the rentals, to professional servers and bartenders, to full décor and anything else you might need to make your event complete.

What’s better than celebrating love?! Pure Joy is really the way we operate all around. We fall in love with our couples and take great pleasure in making their wedding day everything they are envisioning. We start with listening, and then customize every aspect of the day with them according to their priorities and budget.Why should someone hire you?
Peace. Of. Mind.Because working is the last thing you want to do on your wedding day. This is the first dinner party you are throwing as a married couple, and one of the few times in life that all your loved ones are together in one place. This isn’t the time to skimp! Let us help you create the best (and most delicious) night of your life where you won’t have to worry about the success of the party.
What are the common misconceptions about your services?
That we are too expensive. We really take pride in being able to work with clients with all sorts of budgets and making their weddings spectacular and delicious. Because we charge a little more, we are able to put a lot more into your event.What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
Lynette La Mere grew up with her grandfather who was an excellent chef. He sent her to culinary arts school and it’s the only thing she has ever done. She started Pure Joy almost 15 years ago on her own as a single mom. Because of her passion, numerous successful events, and being able to brilliantly stay on trend, the company grew fast. We now own the land and building we occupy in downtown Santa Barbara, with a full team of fun event professionals.What makes a wedding memorable for you?
When a couple brings everything they love to the table (literally). When the wedding reflects the personality or heritage of each family and they come together as a perfect celebration of love.If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
