Tell us about your company name.
Believe it or not, I started out with Something Turquoise Weddings and Events. I love the color turquoise. Sadly, I was notified less than a year later that the word turquoise is already being used by a wedding business and I was forced to change it since I was also in the wedding industry. "Lovely" just seemed right to take its spot.
Why should someone hire you?
I love what I do and it shows. I love guiding couples through the wedding planning process as well as the design process. I'm calm, authentic, and responsive. As a boutique event company, I only take on a small number of weddings per year so I'm always available for my couples night or day.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
I started out producing wedding shows in the luxury market, bringing together hand-picked vendors and brides under one exquisitely designed roof! I produced a bridal fashion show during the event as well as a panel of experts that gave couples advice on all things wedding. As brides leaned in more online to find resources, I didn't want to stop designing events; so I started my own wedding planning and design company and put the show on hold.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
The couples are first-and-foremost my most important source of inspiration. Each wedding is unique to them. I love color, nature, and I love a great retail store window design.
