Before founding Storybook Weddings & Events, she worked in venue management, food & beverage, hospitality and even fashion design! Not only is she well informed in the latest wedding styles, trends and fashion, but also the nitty-gritty logistics of venues, food service and catering. Her experience and know-how makes couples feel at ease as she turns their ideas into whimsical and stylish weddings.
From concept to completion, Storybook Weddings & Events will give you individualized attention, help you make knowledgeable decisions, guide you through venue and vendor selections, and much more. We provide you with your version of a "Storybook Wedding." Whatever that vision may be, we will help you bring it to life by creating a one-of-a-kind experience that represents the two of you and the love you have for each other. We don't specialize in cookie cutter weddings.Why should someone hire you?
I have a strong background in food & beverage and hospitality. I understand many small details that come into play from concept to completion of a wedding. This gives me an edge as a planner, whereas other planners may not understand the ins and outs that go into the food service/catering and venue side of things. This is highly important being that it consumes about 50% of your wedding budget.What are the common misconceptions about your services?
Day-of coordination does not mean that we will only show up for one day and make everything come together. Day-of is really month of services 4–6 weeks from the wedding date. Then we come in and bring all of your puzzle pieces together to make your wedding day seamless.What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
My love for design and strong catering background.What makes a wedding memorable for you?
When the couple doesn't get so caught up in the frills that they forget that they are actually getting married to one another. The love they have for each other and capturing them really enjoying the time between the two of them makes couples stand out.What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Hire a coordinator. You need a non-biased wedding professional (not your aunt) to handle such a very special and expensive day. Do NOT leave your wedding in the hands of someone who doesn't do this on a regular basis.If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
