Jinger Leonard, owner and lead designer of The Flower House, has been in the wedding industry for over 20 years. Starting as a wedding planner, she then founded The Flower House in 2005 to embrace the power of flowers. She prides herself on a unique approach to floral design that allows her to get the essence of who you are and what you are envisioning for the most amazing day of your life.

Each experienced Flower House team member embraces the love, passion and soul that is required and poured into everything they create. They never compromise on exceptional quality and personalized design service. In fact, they love weddings and events so much that they incorporate linens, rentals and lighting design—creating works of art for you and your guests to experience.

They ask, "What experience can we create just for you?"

Peeling Back The Petals

We asked Jinger Leonard to tell us a bit more about herself, “I love…My beautiful daughter Michaela, son Masten and fiancée Barry, cocktails by the beach (well, anywhere really), my Jack Russell Max, snow skiing, snorkeling on tropical vacations, quality items like clothes, furniture and handbags, understanding the divine working in the universe…and what I really love is my life designing weddings and grand events.”

Reviews

“Jinger has an incredible knowledge of flowers and an amazing design talent for arrangements (and she is really funny). She asked all the right questions.”

“I was impressed with Jinger and her staff; they were able to make last minute changes and adjustments with ease and in doing so, always put me at ease. And as far as her work on the day of the wedding let me just say I was speechless! Her floral arrangements and bouquets were absolutely breathtaking!!”

“My wedding guests are still talking about the flowers I heard more than one refer to them as magical! They were AMAZING! Two of my bridesmaids were offered money for their bouquets.”

“Jinger was very professional and knowledgeable. She was prompt and reliable. She DELIVERS what she promises. She’ll make sure you get your money’s worth and she goes out of her way to make sure you achieve what you want.”

Questions and Answers

What 3 words best describe your work?
Quality. Lush. Creative.
Why should someone hire you?
For my attention to detail. There are many details for a wedding. We have systems in place to make sure that everything is perfect. From pre-ordering the flowers 2 weeks ahead to ensure what was discussed and designed is exactly what we show up with, to labeling each and every wedding party flower so no one is ever forgotten. Goals, delivery sheets, everything is broken down and double checked as we only have one chance to make the wedding perfect.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
LOVE and Romance. I am a huge sucker for it. Everything makes me emotional about the love that two people find. Creating a memorable and perfect day for those two individuals gives me the best-accomplished feeling.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
I look at everything and everywhere for inspiration – movies, art, parks, hotels and other designers.
What makes a wedding memorable for you?
Nice people. I will move a mountain if I have a couple that trusts and respects me. Flowers are just one part of the day; I make sure I educate them so all the pieces coming together make sense and are cohesive in creating the mood that they want their guests to feel.
What have weddings taught you?
That every wedding is different and unique. I try to understand who that couple is so I create with them in mind, making it specifically just for them. The moment you try to cookie cutter things you lose your creative power.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Be true to who you are as a couple. Don't get caught up on social media regarding what your wedding colors and styles are supposed to be. Learn to dissect why you like certain things and think about creating a mood you want your guests to feel.
What's your favorite marriage advice?
Communicate and take the time for each other, even if you have to schedule it in.
Extracurricular activities:
Traveling, watching animal videos, lunching/shopping with great friends, snow skiing, wine tasting and hanging with my children.
What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
Wine and dinner with my family.
Tell us about your pets, if you have any.
I am a huge animal lover. My Jack Russell Max just passed away after 15 years. 2 bunnies Buster and Chloe that are more like dogs. They run freely around the house.
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges?
My favorite go-to for any special occasion is Wente Vineyards.
