A consummate perfectionist, her goal is to stay on top of trends in the wedding industry while also continuing to refine her knowledge of different and distinctive cultures, traditions, ideas, and customs.

Wedding Cakes start at $7/slice for a simple, basic cake design. With decorations and detail, the price ranges from $8–$15/slice.

Artistic, visionary, creative.
Tell us about your company name.
Violet is my favorite flower, purple is my favorite color. It just seemed right.
Why should someone hire you?
Because I am a perfectionist. I give 100% and love what I do.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
I was always a student and lover of art. I majored in art in college and knew I wanted to be involved in the art world in some way. One day I realized I had a talent for baking, too, so I decided to combine my efforts. I knew I would be doing what I loved to do.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
Jacqueline Butler and Ron Ben-Israel, both of whom I have studied with.
Tell us about a favorite, unusual or very interesting moment at a wedding:
I had just set the cake up in the reception room, and I turned to leave. Out of nowhere one of the ring bearers ran into the room – he was 3 1/2 years old. He ran straight to the cake and stuck his hand in the side then turned and offered me some! His mom came running after him and apologized profusely. So I just took a couple of extra flowers and used them to "patch things up". Needless to say, the little guy spent some time in "time out" while he feasted on cookies 'n cream cake and buttercream!
What makes a wedding memorable for you?
Knowing that all the attendees, especially the couple, enjoyed the cake.
What have weddings taught you?
To have faith in the power of love.
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
Talk it over and decide what you'd both like to have in a wedding cake. Make it a joint decision.
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
Just once I would like to fly into a venue with a cake—parking in a big city is almost impossible.
What are a couple words that describe your personality?
Introspective, accommodating.
What's your favorite book, movie, or work of art?
The Mona Lisa.

What's your favorite marriage advice?
Communicate!

Skiing, movie-watching.
What’s your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
Red wine and soaking in the jacuzzi.
Tell us about your pets, if you have any.
I have a red-haired Goldendoodle named Pepper. She is very protective and loves to sit in our window at home and bark at whoever walks by.
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges?
I love really good Italian restaurants and frozen yogurt.
