Imagine your wedding ceremony on a romantic, open-air redwood deck that’s sheltered by glass. Exchange vows on a modern deck that’s been embellished with your own personal touches, such as lanterns, greenery, or draping. As the waves crash on the rocky bluff below, your guests take in the stunning panorama of the blue Pacific, edged with lush hillside gardens. It’s hard to imagine a dreamier spot!

For your reception, you can dine and dance the night away in your choice of their elegant spaces—the Yankee Point Room; the Surf Room; or the spacious Oceanside Ballroom. Each option has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the ocean cliffs (and sunsets and starscapes!). The views are only rivaled by the extraordinary fresh and sustainable local fare served up by the hotel’s experienced culinary team. They’ll create a custom menu just for you (including delicious desserts!) and also help you choose your service style, such as a cocktail + hors d'oeuvres reception, food stations, or plated meals.

Highlands Elopement & Proposal Packages

Proposal or Vow Renewal Package
Designed to pop the question or renew your love on the romantic ocean view Wedding Deck, this package includes:

  • One-hour use of the Wedding Deck overlooking the Big Sur coast
  • Floral Bouquet + petals sprinkled
  • Background music

Monday–Thursday proposals are $1,000, and weekend proposals are $1,500, excluding service charge and tax. The package is available to book within 30 days of the proposal or vow renewal. Enhancement options includes rose petals in your hotel suite.

Elopement Package
Designed for 2–20 people, couples exchange vows on a romantic Wedding Deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This package includes:

  • Limited day-of coordination to assist with the implementation of the event
  • Wedding changing room for makeup, hair, and first look
  • White folding chairs & cocktail tables with house linens

Elopements are available Thursday–Sunday. The site fee starts at $3,500, is limited to 1.5 hours of event time, and may be booked only within 90 days of saying "I Do."

Available add-ons include officiant, photographer, florals, hors d'oeuvres, and more!

Additional Info
    • A 75-guest minimum applies on Saturdays April–November. Ceremony-only rentals can be booked within 90 days of your event.
    • A Day-Of Coordinator is required for all events with a guest count over 40, an event with over 5 vendors, or for a DIY wedding. This ensures that every couple has a stress-free day.
